This was my first project at CDK, teamed with developers, engineers, project managers and 3 UI/UX designers. NextGen was still something new and the team was still in the process of figuring out how the concept and the new framework would be applied to this website. There was alot of research on the correct algorithm for the correct way to apply cards and layering them on top of each other to make a dynamic and responsive website.
- Create wireframes to provide design guidance for the developers and to show layout changes for different screen size.
- Did research to analysize competitor's approach on gallery and the different technology being executed to showcase multiple auto images.
- Created design specs for developers to follow on website behavior and how to execute interactions.
- Research filters and how to apply 'many' section without overwhelming the filter section. Also take into account that the filters are dynamic and need to be responsive with a 'mobile' first design concept.
- Along with the wireframes and design specs, I also created Hi-fidelity mocks as companion pieces for project managers, clients and developers.
- Validate. Make sure specs is met and website is working across browsers.
